Women's safety
Safe to talk. Easy to leave.
Talking to someone new should feel comfortable. On Ehsaas, you stay in control of every conversation: who reaches you, how long you talk, and when it ends.
Your number stays yours
Your phone number is never shown to other people on Ehsaas. Conversations happen inside the app, and you never need to share your number, address or workplace to talk to someone.
Avatars, not photos
Profiles use avatars, not uploaded photos. People hear you before they see anything about you.
Real women, checked
Every woman who takes calls on Ehsaas verifies her profile with a short selfie video that our team reviews. If someone believes a profile does not belong to a woman, they can report it as "This is not a woman". When several different people report the same profile, it stops receiving calls until she verifies again.
You decide when it ends
You can end any call at any time, for any reason, without explaining yourself. You are never being rude by leaving.
Block in one tap
Blocking stops a person contacting you: no calls, no messages, and you will not be matched with each other again. You can block from a profile, from a chat, or from the screen right after a call. You can see and undo your blocks under Settings.
Report, and a person reads it
There is a report option on profiles, during calls, right after calls, in chats and on stories.
- ✓Reporting does not tell the other person you reported them.
- ✓Reports go into a queue that a human reviews. We aim to acknowledge every report within 24 hours.
- ✓Reports involving a minor or a credible threat to someone's safety are looked at immediately.
- ✓Depending on what we find, we may remove content, warn, suspend or permanently ban an account, or report it to law enforcement.
What is not allowed
These end accounts.
- Sexual content, and any sexual talk directed at someone who has not invited it.
- Harassment, threats, casteist or communal abuse, and stalking.
- Asking anyone to pay you or send money outside the app.
- Recording or screenshotting someone's call, voice or photos without them agreeing.
- Pretending to be someone else, or lying about age or gender.
- Sharing anyone's private details.
Ehsaas is strictly 18 and above.
A note on call recording
Calls are recorded only for safety. Recordings are deleted after 24 hours and are opened only if the call is reported. We cannot stop someone pointing a second phone at their screen. That is against our rules, and it is worth knowing.
Tips for staying safe
- Keep conversations in the app. Once a chat moves to another platform, we cannot see it or help.
- Never send money to another user. Nobody on Ehsaas needs your UPI ID. Anyone who asks is running a scam: report them.
- Do not share your number, address or workplace with someone you have just met.
If someone is in danger
We are a small team and not an emergency service. If someone is at immediate risk, contact the authorities first, then tell us.

Questions
Will other people see my phone number?
No. It is never shown to other people on Ehsaas.
Do I have to show my face?
No. Profiles use avatars, not photos. Women who take calls do a short selfie-video check so our team can confirm they are real. That video is for verification only and is not shown to other users.
What if someone is rude or inappropriate?
End the call, block them, and report them. A person on our team reads every report.
Does the other person know I reported them?
No.
Is it free to apply for the Friends Program?
Yes. We never ask for money, OTPs or bank details.
How do I contact you about a safety issue?
Write to [email protected] any time. If a child is in danger, call 112 or Childline 1098 first, then write to [email protected].
